Mission Statement:

To improve and protect the health of populations through the practice of public health medicine, including education and research.

The aims of the Australasian Faculty of Public Health Medicine are to:

1. Promote study and advancement of knowledge in the field of public health medicine;
2. Promote and encourage high levels of skill and expertise and high ethical standards in the practice of public health medicine;
3. Raise and maintain the educational standards of medical graduates wishing to enter the field of public health medicine;
4. Act as an authoritative body for the purpose of consultation in matters of educational or public interest in connection with the field of public health medicine;
5. Foster collaboration with clinicians to advance knowledge in the field of public health medicine;
6. Encourage research in matters connected with the field of public health medicine.
